You probably already have some good ideas about the stories you’d like to include on this recording. Be sure to jot them down so you don’t forget when you come to the booth.

There are so many questions that could be asked to generate ideas about telling your life story. Here are several that we have found particularly effective; don’t think you need to consider all of them. Choose a few that seem particularly relevant to your life or the life of the friend or family member that you’re interviewing:
